So Bad, So Good, So Ready!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I can only do one film, as I have other deadlines this week, so I had to make a decision. I’m going with “Mommie Dearest”!

I couldn’t resist doing just one classic film blogathon, so I have officially entered into a second! Get ready for my fellow writers and bloggers to take a crack at the crème de la crème of horrendous movies over at the So Bad It’s Good Blogathon!

Hosted by Rebecca of Taking Up Room, this blogathon is going to give all of you readers the gift that we promise will keep on giving: discussion about those films that we can’t help loving, despite how dreadful (and I do mean DREADFUL) they are! Links to all entries will be posted over at her website from February 22nd through February 24th!

I know so many films that would be ideal for this category (“The Man in the Iron Mask”, “Red Sonja”, “Three Men and a Little Lady”), but the two that I’ve selected have consistently ended up on critics’ worst lists time and time again. Hell, they are even considered guilty pleasures by some, but as I read on Twitter, there’s no need for such labels or to feel shame in liking such terrible, horrible, no good, very bad movies.

Guess what, kids? I have no shame in my game.

In a few weeks, I’m going to tell you why I love “Mommie Dearest” and “Staying Alive” so much and why I keep going back to them. Is it the stiff-looking cold cream mask? Is it the cheesy ’80s soundtrack? Is it all the feathered hair and spandex? Is it because I can’t eat rare meat either? It’s all that AND MORE!

Check out the official announcement and see the list of all the “awful” entries from my fellow participants over at https://takinguproom.wordpress.com/2018/11/15/announcing-the-so-bad-its-good-blogathon/ !
